What is a Guinness World Record?
Guinness World Records - is the ultimate authority on record-breaking achievements. They officially track the most amazing achievements in human potential and make them official.

Who is Caroline D Leon?
In 2015, Caroline survived a life threatening rock-climbing accident, after falling over 7 meters from an outdoor climbing wall. It took over two years and 14 surgeries to fix; two shattered heel bones, realinging and lenghtening tendons in her feet, along with re-communicating a shattered right ilium, completely reconstructing her right pubic bone and completely replacing/reconstructing part of her spine.

After years of healing and rehabilitation, she will be attempting....... to walk to the peak of every country within the geographical Middle East!

This will be a personal quest to not only demonstrate what the tenacious human spirit is capable of, but also to demonstrate the beauty of the Middle East in addition to raising money for charity.

Why?
2019 - THE YEAR OF TOLERANCE

His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, has proclaimed the year 2019 to be "The Year of Tolerance" in the UAE, highlighting the UAE as a global capital for tolerance.
As a means to support this cause, Caroline is raising funds for a local UAE non-profit organisation, Gulf4Good, and raising awareness for the Year of Tolerance by showcasing the Middle East and all its beauty.

What a perfect way to show the world the beauty of these countries than the lush landscapes of their untouched mountains.

THE CHARITY PROJECTS

Street Child in Nepal is an incredible charity, UK based they work to protect vulnerable children and improve access to education in some of the poorest communities around the world. In Nepal, Gulf for Good is partnering with Street Child to work in the brick kiln communities by building schools to provide an education for the children of these communities who would otherwise receive none.

Kisoro Children's Foundation in Uganda supports the education, health, and welfare of over 600 children in Uganda. We are raising funds to tile the classrooms, purchase a playground and to furnish the new school.  The impact of this fund will reach 830 students (232 directly and 598 indirectly).

Chichuchas Wasi in Peru is a comprehensive primary school for impoverished indigenous girls who
attend free of charge. There are over 120 students from 4-12 years old. Cusco faces a lot of rain
and sometimes extreme weather and the school currently does not have an indoor facility
larger than a classroom for events, sports, theatre presentations, or otherwise. This project is
to build a dry multipurpose room for these activities.

SOS Children's Villages in Sferai Village, Lebanon provides care, education, and health services to children who have lost, or who are at risk of losing, parental care. This project is to renovate the existing water treatment plant along with other water saving changes to the existing toilets and faucets to make the entire village more sustainable.
