The COVID-19 pandemic has already impacted many countries all over the world, and will continue affecting more communities over the coming weeks and months.
In most countries where MSF works, we are coordinating with health authorities to see how we can contribute to prevent and tackle the COVID-19 outbreak. Additionally, we are providing training and increasing efforts on infection prevention and control measures for health facilities, and on the protection of health staff and patients. We must be able to receive COVID-19 patients, and make sure that no person is consequently infected in our structures, patients or staff.
As the virus knows no borders, the collective reaction to this pandemic must also be managed without borders. With your support we can offer our help and our medical experience, in countries in which we operate. We are hoping to raise funds for the COVID-19 Crisis Fund, which will allow MSF to respond to the COVID-19 emergency directly, to prepare for potential cases of COVID-19 in our existing projects. This Ramadan campaign is registered in the UAE under permit #2987 by the Islamic Affairs & Charitable Activities Department (IACAD).
